Christmas Party and Break

Hello everyone there will be a Christmas Party on the 18th at Trinity Bible Church on stagecoach. Same start time and same end time. It will be fun. In addition the meetings on the 25th and the 1st are unfortunatley cancelled :) We will see everyone back at our usual spot on the 8th. Merry Christmas Chad

Parade on Saturday

We will meet on Taggart at 11:40 - 11:50 to set up for the parade.  Please remember it does get cold!  Cubs will not be riding on the float, they will be walking and collecting donations for the food bank.  We will walk along Osgoode Main to the Foodland parking lot.  There will be hot chocolate afterwards at the Red Dot.  We will wait for a while at the end of the parade for parents/designated adults to pick up the children.  If we are not outside at the float when you arrive we will be in at the Red Dot.  Please remember pickup is expected as soon as possible. 
Uniforms are not necessary.  Cubs can wear their neckers and any xmas hats, mitts, antlers, etc that they would like.

remember no meeting Wednesday but parade on Saturday

Just a reminder there will be no meeting this Wednesday as we met Monday for float decorations. The parade is this saturday, some details are in the post labeled parade and more details will follow.

If the buses are cancelled tomorrow, cubs is cancelled.

December 7 th is Osgoode Parade and the beavers / cubs venturers are invited to join the float and be in the parade. Kids will be making decorations at the regular beaver meeting on Dec 2nd and then will meet 30 minutes before parade starts on Taggart St off Main.@

November 13th

Radio Station Visit
We will be visiting Star 97.5 in Kemptville this week.  The radio station is located at 4 Industrial Road, Unit 3.  Please arrive at the station by 6:20 so we may do our opening before beginning the tour.  Pick up will be at 7:30.

Just a reminder that the uniforms are okay for tomorrow at school.

Just a reminder our meeting this week is moved to oct 28th at the osgoode public school gym. Please remember your costumes (with necker), and please no weapons...masks are fine. In addition please bring any popcorn money tomorrow night as the numbers are due. With respect to lunch costs from all sections day, it will work out to about 3 dollars per kid. The kids were great every single one...in pretty miserable weather so give your cub a high five from me. See you tommorow night. Chad

Hello everyone we will be going for a brief hike this week. Please make sure you cub has the right shoes and clothes for 30 minutes outside. In addition a flashlight might be a good idea, we hope to be back before dark but just in case... Just a reminder for all sections day please remember to bring the five dollars. We are planning to have a BBQ for all sections day so please let me know if there are any issues with our menu. Burgers, carrots, apples, as well as crackers (goldfish), cookies, granola bars. We will buy the burgers and buns for the BBQ so we will try to cost recover at the all sections day, so it will likley be an additional 2-5 dollars to cover the food. If anyone has issues with this plan please let me know. Thanks Akela Chad

2013 Rideau Area All Sections Activity Day Saturday 26 October 2013 Andy Shields Park - Greely Dear Parents/Guardians, Our Section will be participating in the Rideau Area All Sections Activity Day on October 26, 2013 from 10 AM to 4 PM. There is NO rain date. If your Youth wishes to attend, be sure to sign up with your Section Leaders. Parents are welcome to participate but we ask that siblings not be included due to space limitations. What: 5th Annual Rideau Area All Sections Activity Day 2013 Theme: ”OUT in scOUTing” Where: Andy Shields Park, Greely Old Prescott Hwy (south of Parkway on Old Prescott Hwy after lights.) Date: Saturday, October 26, 2013 Time: 10:00 AM to approximately 4:00 PM Please arrive by 9:45 AM at the latest so that we can gather as a group, register as a group and enter as a group! Pickup time is 4-4:30 p.m. Dress: Please dress for the weather as the event will be held outside. PLEASE WEAR GROUP NECKERCHIEF. Cost: Confirmation of attendance is needed by Oct 10 The cost for the Activity Day is as follows and MUST BE paid to your group representative in advance by October 17, 2013. • $5.00 (includes registration, snack, activities, craft, fire permit, kybos and crest) • Accompanying Parents - $5.00 • Extra crests are available at a cost of $2.00 each. Food/Snack: Crystal drinks will be served during the day. Snacks will be provided to all groups at the start of the event. Bring your diddy bag! Bring a water bottle! Hello everyone. Our meeting on the ninth will be at least in part outdoors. We will also need to lay down on the ground outside so a mat or blanket would be a good idea....And a flashlight! See you all on the 9th Akela chad

Meeting on 2nd of October - Moved to 30th September

Hello parents (and grandparents)!

The meeting that would normally have been held on the 2nd of October has been moved to the 30th of September.

Please be advised that the meeting location has also changed, as has the length of the meeting. 

We will be meeting at Osgoode Public School from 6:30 - 7:30.  We will be joining the Beavers at a joint meeting to celebrate the upcoming Apple Day. 

Apple Day(s) will be on October 4th and 5th.  Sign up sheets will be available on 30th of September.

Second Meeting September 18th

Meeting this week is at our regular place and time... St.James at 6:30. This is our first meeting with SIX corners so please ensure that Cubs com prepared for inspection. Dues are 1 dollar. We will be both inside and outside so dress for the weather! Akela Chad
